Adamawa Emirate Deposes District Head Of Ribadu

The Adamawa Emirate Council has deposed the district head of Ribadu in Fufore local government area, Alh. Gidado Abubakar Aliyu.

This is contained in a letter signed by the acting secretary of the council, Kabiru Bakari, Tariya Adamawa, addressed to the deposed district head.

According to the letter the dismissal took effect from yesterday.

“I am directed by the Adamawa Emirate Council to write and convey to you the approval of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Adamawa State for your dismissal the District Head of Ribadu, vide letter ref No. as MCA/GHY/S 24/T/Vol.11.201 dated 2/11/2023.

“You are to handover all official documents in your possession including your identity card to the Ag. Secretary Adamawa Emirate Council, Yola, accordingly,” the letter said.

Recall that the deposed district head was suspended from office since April 2023.

The emirate council did not give reason for the action.
