The Adamawa State Judiciary has sworn in 32 new magistrates aimed at quick dispensation of justice across the state.

Chief Judge of the state, Justice Hafsat Abdulrahman, charged the new appointees to deliver justice impartially and fairly to all persons.

Abdulrahman, who doubles as chairman of the State Judicial Service Commission (JSC), urged them to uphold the constitutional rights of defendants.

She noted the granting of bail is a fundamental right that lies at the heart of fairness and justice.
The Chief Judge implored the new magistrates to approach their duties with diligence, unwavering integrity, and a steadfast commitment to excellence.
She equally urged the new members of the Bench to embark on a shared journey with a unified sense of purpose and a dedication to unparalleled excellence for a flourishing justice for all.

The CJ cautioned the magistrates against any form of misconduct, noting that the Judicial Service Commission would not hesitate to dangle its dagger on any erring judge.

Speaking on behalf of the newly sworn-in magistrates, Magistrate Peter Joseph expressed profound appreciation to the Chief Judge and the JSC for the opportunity.
