The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has commenced its membership registration and revalidation exercise in Anambra State.

The exercise was officially inaugurated in Awka on Saturday, with key stakeholders and party leaders in the state in attendance.

Speaking at the event, former Anambra State governor Peter Obi urged Nigerians to actively participate in the political process, stressing that citizen engagement is essential for ensuring responsible leadership and transparency in governance.

Obi noted that increased participation would help strengthen democratic institutions and promote accountability among those in public office.

Also speaking, John Nwosu, the party’s governorship candidate in the last Anambra election, described the registration and revalidation exercise as a critical step toward strengthening the ADC’s grassroots structure and preparing the party for future political contests.
