The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has dissolved the Ignatius Nlem-led State Working Committee (SWC) of the party in Imo State.
This was after the former State Working Committee (SWC) members led by Ignatius Nlem was asked to voluntarily resign their positions or be sacked.
The party had accused them of being involved in gross anti-party activities during the just concluded 11th November, 2023 off-cycle governorship election in the state.
ADC, which disclosed this in a statement made available to LEADERSHIP by the national vice chairman South East, Chilos Godsent, in Owerri, said the party has unveiled the names of the newly constituted State Working Committee (SWC) of the party in Imo State.
According to the party, “We thus mandated the new State Working Committee (SWC) to reposition the party in the state and lead the party to a resounding victory in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.”
The members of the New State Working Committee (SWC) are Chief Amushie Emmanuel – state chairman, Hon Amadi Chidi – state deputy chairman, Okoro Charles – state secretary, Mrs. Ijeoma Egocha – state treasurer, Hon Justice Ugochukwu – state financial secretary, Mr Oparaugo Emmanuel – state publicity secretary, Deacon Jacob Onuigbo – state organizing secretary, Mrs Loveth Emedo – state auditor.
Others include, Iroh Lazarus Iheanacho – state legal adviser, Lolo Ngozi Nwosu – state women leader, Comrade Edih Chidiebere – state youth leader, Chief Charles Nwosu – state vice chairman Okigwe Zone, Chief Onukaogu Paschal – state vice chairman Owerri Zone, Mazi Nnamdi Aguguo – state vice chairman Orlu Zone.
The new state chairman of ADC in Imo State, Chief Amushie Emmanuel, pledged his unalloyed commitment to work with his team to bring electoral victory for ADC in future elections in Imo State.
