Former President Muhammadu Buhari has mourned the demise one of the nation’s most notable leaders, Chief Ayo Adebanjo, describing the passage of the Afenifere’s leader as a loss to the nation.

Buhari, in a statement by his media aide, Garba Shehu stated this on Friday in his reaction to the passage of the former chieftain of the National Democratic Coalition (NADECO).

“The late Chief Adebanjo was one of those rare politicians who straddled the worlds of the legal profession, politics, and socio-cultural activism,” said the former president.

He prayed for the repose of Adebanjo’s soul and for fortitude to his family, admirers, and the government and people of Ogun State to bear the loss.
