Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has reiterated his commitment to the all-round development of the state.
Adeleke who made the pledge at the installation of the secretary to the government of Osun State, Alhaji Teslim Igbalaye as the new Bobagunwa of Osogbo at the weekend declared his administration’s commitment to prioritising Osogbo being the state capital.
He commended the Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Olanipekun, Laaroye ll for recognising the contribution of the SSG to the development of Osogbo, adding that Igbalaye was passionate about the development of Osogbo like his father.
“During our election campaign, we promised to transform Osogbo to London, and we are working tirelessly to achieve this goal not just in Osogbo, but across all local governments in the state.
“What happened here today is a replica of what had happened in Ede recently when I was installed as the Asiwaju of Edeland. Hon. Teslim Igbalaye takes on the role of his father, Chief Rasheed Adejare Igbalaye, who served as Bobagunwa of Osogbo and did exceptionally well during his lifetime.
Speaking shortly after his installation, Igbalaye appreciated the traditional monarch for counting him worthy, promising to continue to contribute to the development of his town.
Igbalaye who expressed happiness over his new chieftaincy title said, it was a thing of joy that the same title was last held by his late father.
He, however, assured the Oba Olanipekun and the Ataoja in council of his maximum cooperation in their bid to take the ancient town of Osogbo to greater heights.
