Indication has emerged that Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State will soon unveil palliatives to cushion the effect of recent fuel subsidy removal.
The spokesperson to the governor, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, disclosed this at a sensitisation programme to promote the activities of Adeleke’s administration in Osogbo.
He said the planned intervention will cover support for public transport, monitoring of fuel stations and public sector work time review.
Olawale said top officials were finalising the state palliative plan in line with the directives of the governor, adding that Adeleke’s plan is to be sustainable, impactful and result-oriented.
He said being a pro-people and pro-workers governor, Adeleke was set to announce the state plan to cushion the effect of the hike in fuel price.
Olawale said the governor was working tirelessly to make life bearable for the people of the state.
According to him, Adeleke should be commended for being prudent in the management of the state resources, stressing that the meagre resources were being used to provide social amenities across the state.
Rasheed assured all the communities, towns and villages that are yet to benefit from developmental projects of the governor that the gesture will soon reach their areas.
