Adeyemi Vows To Earn His Place Alongside Yamal At Barcelona

Barcelona’s newest attacking reinforcement, Karim Adeyemi, has made it clear that he welcomes the challenge of sharing the pitch—and competing for minutes—with teenage sensation Lamine Yamal, rather than shrinking from it.

He went on to explain his mindset heading into the new season, stressing that his focus remains on hard work rather than external comparisons. “I know that if I give my all every single day in training, if I push myself in every drill and stay ready for every match, I will get playing time,” Adeyemi added. “That’s how it has always been for me. The German international also emphasized that he sees Yamal not as a rival to be defeated, but as a teammate who can elevate his own game. “We play for the same crest. We want the same thing—to win trophies for this club. Competing with someone of Lamine’s quality only makes me better. It raises the standard for everyone.”
