From an early age, African Diamond showed a keen interest in music, a passion that has fueled his career for over two decades. He recorded his first single in 2001 at the Ivory Studio in Ikeja, Lagos, setting the stage for a successful journey in the music industry.

In 2007, African Diamond released his debut album, a 10-track project featuring the hit single “Mama Papa,” accompanied by a popular music video. His music is deeply rooted in his personal experiences and the environment around him. African Diamond draws inspiration from renowned artists such as 2Baba, Mode 9, Flavour, Asha, P-Square, and Resonance (Chiweike), among others.

After moving to South Africa, African Diamond continued to build his music career. In 2020, he released his second single, “Aluta Continua,” which resonated with many fans. This was followed by the hit single “Baby U 2 Hot” in 2022, complete with an official music video. The momentum continued with the release of “Money No Dey” in 2023. Most recently, on July 5, 2024, African Diamond dropped “Ngifuna Wena,” featuring Fab Muya, further solidifying his status as one of Nigeria’s biggest music exports to South Africa.

Despite his outgoing personality, African Diamond values his privacy, balancing his extroverted nature with a preference for keeping certain aspects of his life out of the public eye.
