Paris Saint-Germain delivered another masterful performance, defeating Liverpool 2-0 at Anfield in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League Quarterfinal tie, securing a resounding 4-0 aggregate victory.

The Parisian giants, who had already established a 2-0 lead in the first leg, showed no signs of complacency, effectively shutting down Liverpool’s attack and capitalizing on their opportunities.

The first half saw a tight contest, with both teams battling for control.

Liverpool’s Alexis Mac Allister received a yellow card in the 45+1 minute, a testament to the intensity of the midfield battle. However, it was PSG who broke the deadlock in the 72nd minute, with Ousmane Dembélé finding the back of the net, assisted by Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. This goal further solidified PSG’s commanding lead and deflated the hopes of the home crowd.

Liverpool’s frustration grew, evident in Ibrahima Konaté’s yellow card in the 85th minute. As the game entered injury time, Dembélé struck again in the 90+1 minute, this time assisted by Bradley Barcola, sealing a dominant 2-0 victory on the night and a comprehensive 4-0 aggregate win.

PSG’s clinical performance and tactical discipline proved too much for Liverpool, who struggled to create clear-cut chances against a well-organized Parisian defense. PSG now confidently march into the Champions League semifinals, waiting the winner of Wednesday’s quarter-final clash between Bayern Munich and Real Madrid. The German side won the leg at the Bernabéu 2-1.
