The Zuma Agricultural Harvest Festival has unveiled its 2026 agricultural campaign programme, a year-long event aimed at supporting farmers through the planting and harvesting seasons while celebrating a decade of engagement in rural development.
According to the organisers, the campaign will commence in May 2026 with the planting season flag-off, an initiative expected to provide farmers with guidance on land preparation, access to improved inputs and recommended agronomic practices as the rainy season begins.
The second major event is scheduled for October 16, 2026, to coincide with World Food Day.
The organisers said the gathering would bring together stakeholders in the agriculture sector to deliberate on food security challenges and recognise the contribution of rural farmers to Nigeria’s food system.
The activities will conclude in December 2026 with the 10th edition of the Zuma Agricultural Harvest Festival, which organisers say will reflect on 10 years of advocacy, farmer support and community-focused agricultural initiatives.
The founder of Zuma 88.5 FM and convener of the festival, Shuaibu Kere Ahmed, described the programme as more than a ceremonial event.
He said, “This is not just a festival, it is a structured agricultural movement. We are building a platform that delivers impact across the entire value chain, from planting to harvest.”
