Ahmed Will Deliver As PCNGi Boss, APC Group Says

A political advocacy group in the ruling All Progressives Party (APC), The Progressives Forum (TPF), has expressed confidence that Barr Ismaeel Ahmed, the executive chairman of the Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative (PCNGi), will not only meet but surpass expectations of his new office.

The TPF made this comment during its congratulatory message to its national leader, Ahmed, following his appointment by President Bola Tinubu.

A statement by the group, signed by Abuh Andrew and Segun Tomori, interim national chairman and secretary, respectively, which was made available to newsmen over the weekend, described Ahmed’s appointment as a well-earned recognition for his longstanding contributions to the growth and success of the APC.

It especially recalled Ahmed’s instrumental role in establishing a vibrant youth wing, the All Progressives Youth Forum (APYF), which later evolved into The Progressives Forum (TPF).

The TPF further noted that Barr Ahmed had discharged his earlier role as the president’s adviser without blemish and wished him success in his new assignment.

It said: “As a former senior special assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on the National Social Investment Programme (NSIP), Barr. Ahmed demonstrated exceptional leadership by effectively overseeing the implementation of key intervention initiatives targeted at uplifting the most vulnerable Nigerians.”

The group recalled that as the former National Youth Representative on the defunct APC National Caretaker Committee, Ahmed energised the party’s youth structure through innovative ideas and programmes that brought young people to the forefront of party politics and national discourse.

“We sincerely thank President Bola Tinubu for this visionary appointment. We are confident that Barr. Ahmed will not only meet but exceed expectations in delivering on the mandate of PCNGi,” it said.
