Ahundana’s emergence as the caretaker committee chairman is to oversee the affairs of the party in the state for the next 90 days.

In a statement dated October 9, 2025, and signed by the national secretary, Dr. Olu Agunloye, the NWC said the decision followed a comprehensive review of the activities within the Adamawa State chapter.
According to the statement, the caretaker committee is mandated to reorganise the party’s structure, recruit new members, and ensure effective coordination of the party’s activities ahead of future elections.
