As the founder of Frisan, a company that began producing coconut-based products like chips and desiccated coconuts, Ridwan has transformed traditional processes with a breakthrough automated system that integrates robotics and artificial intelligence.

His work has not only modernized operations but has also established new benchmarks for efficiency and sustainability in agricultural technology.

Ridwan’s engineering expertise, honed through years of rigorous study and industry experience, was the driving force behind Frisan’s revolutionary technology.

Frustrated by the inefficiencies in traditional coconut processing—labour-intensive methods that led to high costs, inconsistent quality, and worker fatigue—Ridwan applied his technical acumen to create a system that fundamentally redefines the process.

The result: a modular AI-powered platform capable of grading, sorting, and routing coconuts with 98% accuracy, a marked improvement over manual system.

This innovation has garnered significant attention. Business Africa Review spoke with Dr. Tunde Adebayo, an agricultural economist, who called Ridwan’s work “a transformative leap for the industry,” noting its potential to set standards for crop processing globally.

The automated system has already reduced Frisan’s operational costs by 25%, increased labour efficiency by 500%, and accelerated time-to-market by 40%, making it a cornerstone of modern agricultural innovation.

Beyond Frisan’s success, Ridwan’s vision extends to adapting the system for other crops, including cassava, palm fruit, and grains. His leadership has positioned Frisan as a pioneer in agricultural robotics, with partnerships forming across sectors eager to replicate its success.

“Automation isn’tjust about machines; it’s about empowering industries to be more sustainable and competitive,” Ridwan said.

Recognized by trade leaders and researchers as a thought leader in agricultural innovation, Ridwan Ishola Bale’s contributions to the field mark him as one of its most influential figures.

His work exemplifies how AI and robotics can bridge traditional industries and future technologies, making Frisan’s story a model for global progress.
