Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke remains a bonafide member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and not planning to dump the party for any other political party.

Governor Adeleke’s spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed who stated this on Wednesday, also faulted media speculations on purported imminent defection of the governor to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

“The media speculation about likely or imminent defection is fake news. Governor Adeleke remains a member and leader of the PDP in Osun state.

“The visit by the Adeleke dynasty to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a routine courtesy visit. Any reading of defection agenda into the visit is mere fake news”, the statement clarified.

LEADERSHIP recalls that the speculation followed Tuesday’s visit of Governor Adeleke to President Tinubu in the company of his elder brother, Dr. Adedeji Adeleke and his nephew, renowned Afro beat singer, David Adeleke, popularly called Davido.
