Air Peace, Overland Resume Ibadan-Abuja Flights After Recertification

After the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), approved the resumption of commercial flights at Ibadan’s Samuel Ladoke Akintola Airport (SLAIA) by granting a provisional operational permit, following significant upgrades by the Oyo State government, Air Peace Limited and Overland Airways have announced the resumption of daily flights between Ibadan and Abuja.

While Air Peace flight resumes on December 24, 2025, Overland Airways resumes on December 23, 2025.

“Effective December 23, 2025, Overland Airways will commence three weekly services from Ibadan to Abuja on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Flights will depart Ibadan to Abuja by 1030am and Abuja to Ibadan by 1200pm.”

The chief operating officer of Overland Airways, Aderonke Emmanuel-James said. “As the pioneer airline on the Ibadan route, Overland Airways is excited to return to Ibadan to continue the excellent flight services we have provided to the people of Ibadan, Oyo State and Osun State over the past 22 years.”

“We equally wish to congratulate the government of Oyo State for the extensive improvement works at the Samuel Ladoke Akintola International Airport, Ibadan.”

On its part, Air Peace Airlines stated that the Ibadan flight service would further reinforce its commitment to enhanced domestic connectivity and passenger convenience.

The airline confirmed that fares on the Ibadan-Abuja route will start from N95,000, offering customers an affordable and reliable travel option during the high-traffic festive season and beyond.

This development forms part of Air Peace’s recently announced resumption of its Warri operations and additional frequencies across its domestic network, strategically introduced to accommodate increased passenger traffic during the yuletide period while sustaining capacity growth into 2026.
