Aisha Buhari’s Cryptic Message

It is hard to say whether former First Lady Aisha manages her own social media handles.

Many of the recent posts speak of the challenges of widowhood, of women of her age, and the physical, social, and psychological changes they go through.

But that is not what has caught Nigerians’ attention. It’s a recent visit she paid to Atiku Abubakar in Yola that has everyone talking.

Was it a political courtesy call or simply a condolence visit over the passing of Bamanga Tukur? She must have known the visit would attract attention.

The former First Lady has astute political instincts and during her time in the presidential villa, was an effective communicator.

But Lady First, Remi Tinubu, is now competing with her for that title: the wife of a president, most effective at leading and executing a political agenda.
