Senate President Goodwill Akpabio has urged Nigerians to keep faith with President Bola Tinubu’s economic reforms, believing they will reap the benefits in the long run.
Senator Akpabio stated this in his goodwill message at the 11th convocation of the Nigerian College of Accountancy in Kwal, near Jos, the Plateau State capital, at the weekend.
The senate president was also awarded a Fellowship Award for his contributions to the country’s growth.
Akpabio, who was represented at the occasion by Senator Mwadkon Dachungyang from Plateau North Senatorial Zone, said the 10th Senate, under his leadership, is focused and purpose-driven for a better Nigeria to keep the people’s dreams, hopes, and aspirations alive.
He also acknowledged the diligent teamwork of all the institution’s stakeholders, especially the tremendous work done by the director general, Dr Friday Akpan, and his management team.
Akpabio further stated that the graduating men and women of the Nigerian College of Accountancy, which is the training arm of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), having been certified as professionals in the accounting profession, should make integrity and professionalism their watchwords in discharging their duties in the public or private sector.
