The Senator representing Enugu West Senatorial District Osita Ngwu, has commended the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, for his exemplary leadership, noting that his qualities have played a pivotal role in stabilising the 10th Senate.

In a statement issued to journalists yesterday in Abuja, Ngwu said that since the inauguration of the 10th National Assembly in 2023, Akpabio has demonstrated uncommon leadership capacity, inclusiveness, and a commitment to unity, which have significantly reduced tensions and fostered cooperation among lawmakers across party lines.

According to him, the Senate under Akpabio’s leadership has witnessed improved coordination, legislative harmony, and a renewed focus on delivering people-oriented policies that align with national development goals.

“Distinguished Senator Akpabio has shown strong leadership marked by consultation, fairness, and respect for divergent views. These qualities have brought stability and purpose to the 10th Senate,” Ngwu said.

He emphasised that the Senate President’s experience in governance and politics has been instrumental in navigating complex legislative issues, ensuring that the Red Chamber remains focused on its constitutional responsibilities.

Senator Ngwu reaffirmed his support for the leadership of the Senate and urged his colleagues to continue to work collaboratively in the interest of Nigerians.

He also called on stakeholders and the public to support the National Assembly in its efforts to enact laws that will promote economic growth, strengthen democratic institutions, and improve the overall well-being of citizens.
