A statement issued by the FOU’s Public Relations Officer, CSC Saidu Nuruddeen, said the handing and taking over were a moment of joy for both the outgoing and incoming Comptrollers.

In his farewell address, the outgoing Comptroller Shuaibu expressed his gratitude and satisfaction at concluding his tenure on a high note. He described it as a “celebration of freedom” after a year of dedicated service and urged the officers to extend the same level of cooperation he enjoyed to his successor.

He expressed his sincere appreciation to the Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, and his management team for the opportunity to serve.

The incoming Comptroller Alkali acknowledged the significant responsibilities of leading the unit covering such an extensive area.
