All Is Set For Turbarning Of Kwara Governor As Sardauna Of Ilorin

The turbaning of the Kwara State governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, as the Sardauna of Ilorin will hold on Wednesday, September 16, 2026.

The organising committee announced this in a statement signed by Alh Bashir Adigun.

The historic turbaning ceremony will be performed by His Royal Highness, the Emir of Ilorin and chairman of the Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, at the Emir’s Palace in Ilorin.

The ceremony is scheduled to commence at 11:00 a.m., with the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Kashim Shettima, GCON, expected to represent President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, at the occasion.
