The All Progressives Congress (APC) has won all the chairmanship seats of the 25 local government councils of Niger State even as the party in Paikoro local government area suspended the member representing Paikor/Bosso federal constituency, Hon Yusuf Kure.

The results released by the Niger State Independent Electoral Commission (NSIEC) indicated that the APC candidates were returned as winners in all the local government areas.

LEADERSHIP observed that the case of who was the candidate of the party in Paikoro local government for the party caused confusion in the result released as the two candidates were contesting the outcome of the primary in court.

It was learnt that two candidates were laying claim to the victory thereby causing confusion in the area. The situation led to the suspension of the member representing Paikoro/Bosso federal constituency Yusuf Kure.

In the suspension letter signed by one Bala Achi, the party in the local government area claimed that the member allegedly engaged in anti-party activities in the last Saturday local government elections in the area.

The letter alleged that the members engaged in anti party activities at Amale B polling units in Ishau ward of the local government.

The party therefore said the members should not represent the party in any platform and at any level of the party.

Meanwhile, attempts to get the reaction of the members proved abortive but a senior party official in the state said the suspension from the local government will be looked into for peace.
