Allure Bridal will launch a line of 15 wedding dresses inspired by Netflix’s Bridgerton and Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Inspired Story.
The dresses to be designed by Creative Director and designer on Queen Charlotte set, Lyn Paolo, who has worked on many Shonda Rhimes’ projects including, “How To Get Away With Murder” and “Scandal” and “Inventing Anna”, show three designs inspired by the Georgian fashions of Queen Charlotte and twelve other Regency-esque dresses. Regency fashion is characterized by simple column gowns and a Grecian silhouette. Georgian fashion ideals often spot wide skirts and elaborate detailing worn by Queen Charlotte in the show.
They will be relatively affordable at the price of $1,600 to $3,000, and will be available for purchase starting December 2023.
“The gowns are all so very different and distinct from one another and the detail is beautiful. The lace is beautiful, the crystals, the veils, we also worked on some veiling.” The collection will come not just in white but champagne and ivory colour.
Paolo said the collaboration with the Allure Fashion comes after several inquiries from fans hoping to incorporate the show’s aesthetic into their big day.
“The idea of bringing the opportunity for fans to dress for their wedding in something that’s very exciting to all of us at Shondaland. It is like bringing a little piece of magic to someone’s life.
“We were blown away by how beautiful the gowns are. I’m super excited for the world to see them.”
