The St. Charles Grammar School, Osogbo Old Boys Association (SCOBA) Stanza 838, has exceeded its Scholarship endowment fund target, raising N10.32 million.
The feat was achieved over two months after the launch of the ambitious ₦10 million initiative.
Launched in October 2025, the Scholarship Endowment Fund was conceived to provide sustainable educational support for deserving recent graduates of St. Charles Grammar School as well as children of SCOBA Stanza 838 members.
Reflecting on the achievement, chairman of SCOBA Stanza 838, Charlean Akinjide Salami, described the endowment as more than financial support, noting that it is a symbol of shared values and a collective belief in education as the foundation for personal and societal transformation.
The Education Committee, led by Dr Segun Odejide with Dayo Durotoye as secretary, also expressed heartfelt gratitude, emphasising that while future beneficiaries might not know the names of today’s contributors, they would forever benefit from the opportunities created.
“The successful completion of this campaign represents a defining moment in the history of SCOBA Stanza 838, demonstrating what can be achieved when members unite around a common purpose of empowering the next generation through education.
“More than a fund, the endowment stands as a living testament to the values instilled at St. Charles Grammar School – excellence, service and brotherhood – and ensures that financial constraints will not hinder deserving students from reaching their full potential.
“While this milestone is being celebrated, contributions to the endowment remain welcome as members continue to strengthen and expand the fund to support even more students in the years ahead. Additional information about the Scholarship Endowment Fund, as well as opportunities to contribute and stay engaged with ongoing initiatives, can be accessed through the association’s official website.”
