Chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) Hon. Christopher Maikalangu has appointed Ibrahim Yakubu Pam as the new managing director of AMAC Broadcasting Service.
In a statement issued by the senior special assistant on Media and Public Affairs to AMAC Chairman, Kingsley Madaki, on Wednesday, the appointment of Pam is to take effect immediately.
The chairman enjoined the new managing director to live up to the confidence reposed on him by this administration, and that he should harness the opportunities in the council to widen the scope of the AMAC commercial radio station to attract business to the station.
According to the statement, Pam, before his appointment, was a special assistant on Media and ICT to the former national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alh. Bamanga Tukur.
He was also a member of the Governing Council with the Federal Polytechnic, Kaura Namoda in Zamfara state, and the current chairman of the FCT Gymnastics Sports Association.
Pam was also the executive director of Production System Designs in Ikeja, Lagos; Nonlinear Editor with a German firm, Sylvio Projekts Studio in Asokoro, Abuja; Nonlinear Editor with Quest Media, Abuja; Production Manager with EloPee worldwide television.
He is a member Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) and a Special Marshall with the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC.
