The International Association of World Peace Advocates (IAWPA) through its International Spokesman, Amb. Emmanuel Nkweke, has announced the appointment of Amb. (Mrs.) Amaba Sam Ogbuku, wife of the Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), as the Head of Delegation to attend the African Women Summit in Zanzibar, scheduled to take place from May 6 to 8, 2026.
The summit, which will attract women from all over the world, will feature highlights, including the celebration of the Nigerian First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for her support for women empowerment in Nigeria.
According to IAWPA International Spokesman, in the statement released in Tanzania but monitored in Abuja, he said, “The decision of IAWPA to appoint Amb. Dr. Mrs. Amaba Sam Ogbuku as Head of Delegation is based on her commitment to promoting women and girl-child activities as well as impacting positively on sustainable development goals.
“We are confident that she will represent Nigeria with distinction at this global event.”
The African Women Summit in Zanzibar promises to be a significant gathering, promoting women’s empowerment, equality, and development across Africa and beyond.
