Amid Global Crises, Oyakhilome Invites Bolaji Idowu To Pray For Peace

Amid escalating global tensions, Nigerian televangelist Chris Oyakhilome has called on ministers around the world to unite in prayer for global peace, inviting Bolaji Idowu to lead prayers during the Healing Streams programme.

The prayer session comes at a time of rising geopolitical tensions, including the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine as well as instability across the Middle East. Oyakhilome said the gathering was aimed at seeking divine intervention for nations and their leaders.

During the broadcast, Idowu, the lead pastor of Harvesters International Christian Centre, offered prayers for ministers, governments and citizens across the world, asking for peace and divine wisdom in leadership.

“First of all, we pray for ministers all across the world for the increased work of the Spirit in their lives,” Idowu said during the session. “More than ever before, the operation of the Spirit in their lives will be amplified, making them do bigger things, causing them to be bold and courageous to take new territories.”

He also prayed for the collapse of what he described as structures of evil and called for the spread of peace across nations.

“We thank you because all across the nations the will of the Lord is prevailing, the work of the Lord is prevailing and the word of God is having free course,” he said. “We speak peace to nations and declare, ‘Peace be still.’”

The Healing Streams prayer session, hosted by Oyakhilome, regularly brings together Christian leaders and worshippers from different countries through global broadcasts and online platforms.

Religious gatherings and coordinated prayer initiatives have increasingly been organised by faith leaders as the world grapples with conflict, humanitarian crises and political instability.

Christian leaders participating in the programme said the prayers were aimed at promoting peace, stability and unity among nations while encouraging believers to remain hopeful despite global uncertainties.
