Voting has officially commenced at Community School in Amawbia, located in Awka South local government area of Anambra State.
LEADERSHIP reports that accredited voters arrived at the polling units to cast their ballots in the ongoing governorship election. Officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) were also on ground, setting up materials and ensuring a smooth start to the exercise.
Reports from the area indicated that the process began peacefully, with security personnel present to maintain order and ensure voter safety. As of the time of filing this report, voting materials had arrived at most polling units within Amawbia, and the turnout was described as encouraging.
Observers and party agents were also seen monitoring proceedings to ensure transparency and compliance with electoral guidelines.
