APC Chieftain Shinkafi Welcomes Zamfara Governor To Party, Predicts Electoral Victory

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former governorship candidate in Zamfara State, Sani Abdullahi Shinkafi, has welcomed the state  governor Dauda Lawal, into the ruling party, describing the development as a major boost for unity and political stability in the state.

In a press statement issued yesterday, Shinkafi said the governor’s decision to join the APC represents a significant and progressive step that will further strengthen the party’s unity, stability, and political influence in Zamfara State and across Nigeria.

According to him, Lawal’s move demonstrates a willingness to collaborate with other political leaders and stakeholders to advance the welfare of the people and accelerate development in the state.

Shinkafi noted that the APC remains a broad political platform capable of accommodating leaders who are genuinely committed to good governance, peace, and sustainable development.

He called on party members, supporters, and residents of Zamfara State to warmly welcome the governor and work together in the spirit of unity and progress for the overall benefit of the state and the country.

The APC stalwart also reaffirmed his commitment to supporting initiatives that promote peace, development, and democratic consolidation in Zamfara State.

Shinkafi further expressed optimism that the APC would record victory in upcoming elections in the state and successfully mobilise support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election, just as the party did during the 2023 polls.

He urged party members to set aside political differences and focus on strengthening the party’s structure and cohesion in Zamfara State.

Shinkafi also encouraged eligible citizens to participate in the ongoing voter registration exercise being conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).

According to him, massive support for the APC in future elections will ensure the continuity of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which he said has laid the foundation for economic prosperity, improved national security, and unity across the country.
