APC Consensus Aspirants Sweep House Of Reps Tickets In Gombe

All aspirants for House of Representatives tickets in Gombe State under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), have been declared winners of Saturday’s direct primaries, with consensus-backed candidates sweeping across constituencies.

The chairman of the Gombe State House of Representatives and Senate Primary Elections Committee, Mallam Labiru Musa Kafur, announced the results on Sunday during a media briefing in Gombe.

In Akko Federal Constituency, the Chief Whip of the House of Representatives, Hon. Usman Bello Kumo Usman Bello Kumo, polled 21,813 votes to clinch the ticket unopposed.

Similarly, Hon. Fatima Binta Bello Fatima Binta Bello secured 100 per cent of votes cast in Kaltungo/Shongom Federal Constituency, while Hon. Inuwa Garba Inuwa Garba also recorded total votes in Yamaltu/Deba Federal Constituency.

In Balanga/Billiri Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Ali Isa JC Ali Isa JC defeated Alfred John and Saratu Hamman Jauro after polling 23,362 votes.

Also declared winner was Jamilu Ahmed Shabewa Jamilu Ahmed Shabewa for Dukku/Nafada Federal Constituency, who polled 28,144 votes against Umar Ahmed, who scored 1,066 votes.

For Gombe/Kwami/Funakaye Federal Constituency, Saddam Bello Saddam Bello scored 54,260 votes to defeat Zakariya Jidda, who polled 5,902 votes.

The committee described the exercise as peaceful, transparent, and compliant with the Electoral Act 2026, insisting that the use of verified membership registers and direct voting strengthened the credibility of the process.
