The All Progressives Congress (APC) has debunked a viral report alleging the cost of its expression of interest and nomination forms for the 2027 general elections, describing the information as false and misleading.
The report, which gained traction on Friday, claimed that presidential aspirants would be required to pay N200 million for nomination forms, while those contesting for state assembly seats would pay N20 million.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, clarified that the purported price list did not originate from the APC.
He stated that the party’s attention had been drawn to what he described as a “false and misleading report” circulating in parts of the media regarding the pricing of nomination forms.
Morka stressed that no official decision or announcement has been made concerning the sale or pricing of forms for the 2027 elections.
“To be clear, no decision or announcement has been made on the sale or pricing of forms for the 2027 elections,” he said, dismissing the report as “a figment of the writer’s mischievous imagination.”
The APC, therefore, urged its members, the media, and the general public to disregard the report in its entirety.
