The All Progressive Congress( APC) has inaugurated the Tinubu/ Shettima grassroots independent campaign council(ICC).

The national coordinator of the council, Silas Agara assured that the ICC will work as a team to achieve its set goals.

Agara who is a former deputy governor of Nasarawa State clarified that the ICC is not in contradiction or competition with the APC Presidential Campaign Council (PCC).

On the contrary, he noted that the ICC is only the messenger, the town crier of the PCC at the grassroots level.

He said “the ICC is a platform that interfaces with the people at the grassroots level on the need to support the Tinubu/Shettima candidacy.

“Our duty as ICC is working towards overcoming any perceived hindrance or challenge to our collective goal of winning the forthcoming election.

“We have devised innovative solutions packaged in models that address the challenging realities of today.

“We intend to start a one-on-one nationwide grassroots mobilization campaign and also form a network of grassroots volunteer campaign leaders across the country.

Agara further said the Tinubu/Shettima Grassroots Independent Campaign Council will lead the way in collaborating with the Nigerian people towards suggesting innovative channels of national growth and development.

“The inauguration of the ICC today signals the deepening of this very important national assignment which I count myself as the National Coordinator lucky to be part of this historical landmark.”

“As the National Coordinator, I pledge my unreserved commitment and loyalty to the course. With the array of very experienced leaders of this great country who formed the membership of the ICC, we will implement the strategies we have developed towards ensuring the effective and efficient execution of the campaign’s mandate.

“The task ahead of the ICC is by no means a simple one as there will be sleepless nights, long hours of travel, and interfacing with the people.

“There is no doubt difficulties and challenges lies ahead. We must therefore be prepared to make sacrifices by modelling best behaviours, controlled temperance, tolerance and perseverance for the task ahead,” he added .
