Apple has announced the release of a more affordable addition to its iPhone 16 lineup—the iPhone 16e—offering high-end features at a lower price point.
Pre-orders for the new device will open on Friday, February 21, with an official launch date set for February 28.
According to Apple, the iPhone 16e was designed to deliver “fast performance and breakthrough battery life,” making it a compelling option for consumers looking for a premium experience at a reduced cost.
The device is powered by Apple’s A18 chip, the same processor found in the standard iPhone 16 model, ensuring smooth performance. It also features a 6.1-inch display, mirroring the size of the base model.
Apple has equipped the iPhone 16e with a 48-megapixel camera system, capable of shooting 4K video at 60 frames per second, promising high-quality photos and videos for users.
Additionally, the device will support Apple Intelligence, the company’s advanced AI tool, which is currently exclusive to the iPhone 15 and 16 lineups.
