Pop star Ariana Grande has again objected to the use of her music in a social media post by US President Donald Trump’s team.
A Trump rally video shared on TikTok featured Grande’s song “we can’t be friends” while displaying messages about his views on gender and sports, including the claim that men cannot have babies and should not compete in women’s sports.
Grande responded in the comments, directly objecting to the use of her music.
“Never use my music again. Also, your truth is false,” she wrote.
According to reports, Grande’s record label is working to have the song removed from the post.
This is not the first time the singer has criticised the Trump administration over the use of her music. In June, she condemned the White House after another post featuring her music was used alongside footage of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrests.
Grande has previously described Trump’s immigration policies as “barbaric, inhumane and heinous”.
She joins several other major artists, including Beyoncé, Celine Dion, Rihanna and Sabrina Carpenter, who have objected to the use of their music by Trump or his administration.
