Arokodare Sparks Wolves Training Chaos Amid Fiorentina Exit Push

Nigeria striker Tolu Arokodare has found himself at the centre of fresh controversy after reportedly forcing Wolverhampton Wanderers to abandon a training session during the ongoing transfer window.

According to BBC Sport, the 25-year-old refused to leave the training pitch on Monday and demanded that Wolves allow him to complete a move to Italian Serie A side Fiorentina.

The incident prompted new head coach Cesar Peixoto to end the session early, highlighting growing tensions over the striker’s future.

Wolves have rejected Fiorentina’s approach despite accepting an offer from Turkish side Trabzonspor, leaving Arokodare frustrated as interest in his services intensifies.

The Nigerian international was subsequently omitted from Wolves’ pre-season friendly against Maidenhead United on Wednesday.

Later that evening, Arokodare issued a statement on social media insisting he had always conducted himself professionally throughout his career.

“I remain under contract with Wolves, and my only intention is to fulfil my responsibilities professionally by training, doing my job and contributing to the team,” he wrote.

The latest episode follows disciplinary action taken against the striker in April after an altercation with young forward Mateus Mane.

Arokodare joined Wolves from Belgian side Genk for £24 million last summer but endured a disappointing debut campaign, scoring just three Premier League goals as the club suffered relegation.

The dispute presents an early test for Peixoto, who only recently replaced Rob Edwards and has been tasked with guiding Wolves back to the Premier League at the first attempt.
