Arsenal players were pictured outside the Emirates Stadium at 5:00 AM on Wednesday, their jubilant celebrations continuing after being crowned Premier League champions for the first time in 22 years.
Eberechi Eze shared photos on Instagram in the early hours, showing himself alongside teammates Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka, and Jurrien Timber outside their north London stadium.
The night before, Arsenal fans had congregated outside the stadium and in nearby pubs, eagerly watching as rivals Manchester City played Bournemouth. A City win would have kept the title race alive. However, Pep Guardiola’s side could only manage a draw, ultimately confirming Arsenal as champions for the first time in over two decades.
The final whistle on the south coast sparked an explosion of cheers in pubs across north London, as Arsenal fans celebrated a moment that, after recent title near misses, many feared might never arrive.
Similar celebrations erupted at the Gunners’ training ground, where the squad had gathered for the evening. Players and staff danced, hugged, and chanted “Campeones, Campeones, Ole Ole Ole!”
Last month, Arsenal captain Declan Rice had famously insisted “it’s not done” after a loss to Manchester City. But on Tuesday, with the title race decided, he posted a celebratory picture on social media, simply captioned: “It’s done.”
This historic title win marks Mikel Arteta’s seventh year in charge, a testament to what can be achieved when a manager is given time to build and develop a team.
