Arsenal Put £18m Price Tag On Gabriel Jesus Amid Napoli Interest

Arsenal have reportedly set an asking price of around £18 million for Gabriel Jesus as Napoli consider a move for the Brazilian striker.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the Serie A club have shown serious interest in the 29-year-old, with Napoli manager Massimiliano Allegri understood to be a long-term admirer of the forward.

The potential transfer speculation intensified after Jesus’ agent, Giovanni Branchini, was spotted at Napoli’s pre-season training camp in Castel di Sangro on Friday.

Branchini, however, played down suggestions that his visit was linked to negotiations over a move for Jesus, insisting that he was at the camp to meet another of his clients, Allegri.

“I came here today to come and visit him. I haven’t spoken to Allegri about him,” Branchini said when asked about Jesus.

The relationship between the player, coach and agent has nevertheless added fuel to speculation, with both Jesus and Allegri represented by Branchini.

Napoli would reportedly need to create space in their attacking ranks before making a formal approach for Jesus, with the Italian club expected to find new destinations for either Lorenzo Lucca or Romelu Lukaku.

Arsenal, meanwhile, are understood to favour a permanent transfer for Jesus, who has entered the final year of his contract at the Emirates Stadium.

The Brazil international joined Arsenal from Manchester City in 2022 and has since featured prominently for the Gunners, although injuries and competition for places have affected his consistency in recent seasons.

A move to Napoli could offer Jesus a fresh challenge in Serie A, but the Italian club must first resolve their own squad situation before deciding whether to pursue Arsenal’s £18 million valuation.
