Arsenal’s Max Dowman has been handed three official Guinness World Records certificates after breaking age-related records in English and European football before his 17th birthday.
Guinness World Records announced the recognition in a post on its verified X account on Thursday, saying the teenager’s rapid rise had earned him three record titles.
According to the organisation, Dowman is the youngest player ever to appear in the UEFA Champions League, doing so at 15 years and 308 days.
He also holds the record for the youngest goalscorer in the English Premier League, achieved at 16 years and 73 days, and the youngest player to win the Premier League, at 16 years and 144 days.
Dowman received his Premier League winner’s medal at 16 years and 144 days, beating the previous record held by Manchester City’s Phil Foden by more than a year. Arsenal won the title, their first in 22 years, after Manchester City could only draw 1-1 with Bournemouth.
Guinness World Records added that Dowman features in the Guinness World Records Football Edition 2027, released on Thursday, as part of its “Class of ’27.”
The 16-year-old winger made his first-team debut at the beginning of last season, coming on against Leeds United to become the second-youngest player in English Premier League history, behind Arsenal teammate Ethan Nwaneri.
He was presented with the certificates by Guinness World Records adjudicator Caitlin Hyem.
