M & C Saatchi Group associated with Saatchi Gallery, London, has opened calls for submissions from artists globally for its Art For Change Prize.

Focused on the theme Tomorrow’ing: Visions of a Better Future, the prize tasks emerging artists (five years into their creative profession) to submit art pieces that highlight and stimulate dialogue via visual arts, around pressing global issues in order to engender hope for a better future, and give exposure to emerging artists  worldwide.

“As we enter 2024, the world is confronted by a waning sense of optimism, with urgent social, political and economic issues front of mind for people around the globe. So, what can we do to build a more optimistic vision of tomorrow’s world?

“This year’s prize invites emerging artists to tackle some of the world’s most pressing issues and act as a beacon of hope in the pursuit of a better tomorrow.”

Top six winners will split a £20,000 prize amongst six regional winners, with five to receive £2000 each, and one overall winner to receive £10,000. Whilst their works will be exhibited at the Saatchi Gallery, London, where the overall winner will be announced in November. The exhibition will open to the public in January 2025.

Artists may submit one or a maximum of five artworks, created later than January 2021, spanning painting, drawing, illustration, photography, collage, 2D mixed-media, video or film media, on or before July 17, 2024.
