Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, Chelsea boss Xabi Alonso, Hull City head coach Sergej Jakirovic and Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca have been nominated for the August Premier League Manager of the Month award.
All four managers guided their teams to impressive starts to the new campaign, with each collecting maximum points from their opening two fixtures.
Alonso has made a flying start to his Chelsea tenure, overseeing emphatic victories against Fulham and Brighton & Hove Albion. The Blues opened with a 3-0 win over Fulham before thrashing Brighton 4-0.
Chelsea’s attacking threat has been spearheaded by Joao Pedro, Cole Palmer and Morgan Rogers, who have combined for five goals and four assists across the two matches.
Arteta’s Arsenal have also collected six points while maintaining a perfect defensive record. The reigning champions defeated Coventry City 3-0 before recording a narrow 1-0 victory over last season’s fourth-placed side Aston Villa.
The Gunners have conceded no goals in their opening two matches, restricting their opponents to just one shot on target between them.
Maresca has also enjoyed an encouraging start as he begins the task of succeeding Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.
City came from behind to defeat AFC Bournemouth 2-1, with substitute Rayan Cherki creating both goals in the 84th minute and stoppage time.
Cherki then played a starring role in City’s 4-1 victory over Crystal Palace, scoring twice alongside Erling Haaland, who also struck twice.
Newly promoted Hull City have arguably produced the biggest surprise of the opening weeks under Jakirovic.
The Tigers have won both matches without conceding, beginning their campaign with a stunning victory over Manchester United before securing a late 1-0 win against fellow promoted side Coventry City.
Hull goalkeeper Konstantinos Tzolakis has also been nominated for the EA SPORTS Player of the Month award following his impressive performances.
Fans can vote for their preferred manager until 12 noon on Monday, 7 September. The final winner will be determined through a combination of the public vote and the assessment of a panel of football experts.
The August Manager of the Month winner will be announced on Friday, 11 September.
