Popular Nigerian singer Ahmed Ololade, widely known as Asake, has reaffirmed his commitment to Islam after sharing a video of himself performing Umrah in Medina, Saudi Arabia.
The Afrobeats star posted a clip on his social media page showing the moment he offered prayers at Raudhatul Jannah, one of the most revered prayer spots in Islam, located inside Masjid an-Nabawi, the Prophet’s Mosque in Medina.
Muslims often describe Raudhatul Jannah as the “Garden of Paradise.”
In a video shared with his followers, the singer was seen quietly praying at the holy site. He accompanied the post with a brief caption, “Alhamdulillah.”
The post has since generated reactions online, particularly as it comes months after a prophecy circulated on social media suggesting the singer would eventually convert to Christianity.
While Asake did not directly address the claim, many of his followers interpreted the pilgrimage as a reaffirmation of his Islamic faith.
