Former Niger Delta militant leader, Asari Dokubo, has declared his intention to campaign against former Kano State governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Dokubo made the remarks in a video shared by Oriental Times on Facebook, where he criticised Kwankwaso, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), and vowed to mobilise opposition against him in Kano State.
“I will be at the forefront of those campaigning against Rabiu Kwankwaso in the 2027 election. He thinks he can sell Muslims for kobo kobo, but we are going to disappoint him,” Dokubo said.
He further stressed his readiness to personally take part in the campaign efforts, insisting that Kwankwaso would face strong resistance from voters.
“All of us will be in Kano to campaign against you. Me, I will volunteer myself. I will be in the forefront,” he added. “Kwankwaso, listen to me, I’ll be in the forefront to campaign against you in Kano, and Kano will disappoint you.”
As of the time of filing this report, Kwankwaso has yet to respond to the remarks.
