Katsina governor-elect, Dikko Umaru Radda, has felicitated with the people of the state as they celebrate this year’s Eid-el-fitri, assuring them if his firm resolve to tackle insecurity in the state and deliver the dividends of democracy under his incoming administration.
In a Sallah message released by his media office yesterday, Radda thanked the people of Katsina State for giving him the mandate as governor.
“This is a trust and Insha Allah, my team and I will not fail you. We shall by the Grace of God tackle the challenge of insecurity and work very hard to provide the much needed dividends of democracy to the people of Katsina State,” he stated.
The governor-elect urged the people to replicate the traits of devotion, obedience, charity, perseverance and respect for others they imbibed throughout the Ramadan fasting period and keep them as lifetime virtues.
He stated: “| wish to felicitate with the good and peace loving people of Katsina State and Nigerians, on the successful completion of the Ramadan Fast and celebration of Eid-Fitri. May Almighty Allah accept our acts of worship, abstinence and charity that we undertook during the period.
“Having gone through the fasting period in devotion, obedience, charity, perseverance and respect for others, | urge you all to replicate these traits as a life time habit that should outlive the limited period which the Ramadan fast was observed.
“Let us all continue to live in peace and harmony with one another and pray for a smooth transition to a new government on May 29 2023. Permit me to use this opportunity to commend Non-Muslims who became their brothers’ keeper by feeding the less privileged Muslims in many parts of the country during the Ramadan period.
“I therefore solicit for your prayers and support as we prepare to take over the mantle of leadership.”
