He had aspired to fly the flag of the PDP at the recently-concluded governorship primary election in Benue State but withdrew in the last-minute following the zoning arrangement of the party in the State. He also chaired the Forum of PDP Aspirants for the 2023 Governorship Election in Benue State.

In a statement signed by the media coordinator of the campaign team, Mr Andrew Oota, a copy of which was made available to journalists, he said the Head of the North-Central Campaign of the Atiku/Okowa Presidential Campaign, has the ability, intellect and competence to galvanize, coordinate and deliver on his mandate.

Oota stressed that the PDP will win North-Central zone “convincingly and overwhelming”.

The team assured that Benue State in particular, with a sitting governor, national chairman of the party, former President of Senate, three Senators, majority of the House of Representatives members, majority of the State House of Assembly members and all elected council chairmen as members of the PDP, the party will not struggle to win all the elective positions in thr 2023 elections.

The team further maintained that the PDP as a legacy party with the right people to drive an issue-based campaign, will ensure that all hands will be on the deck for a resounding victory come 2023 general elections in the North-Central and Nigeria at large.

The team expressed satisfaction that the 5-point agenda of the Atiku/Okowa Presidential Campaign of Reunification, Economy, Security, Education and True Federalism speaks to the very issues that agitate the minds of Nigerians at the moment.

It stressed that the failure of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in all sectors was epic and Nigerians cannot afford the mistakes of the past, which consequences are staring them in the faces.
