The Atlantic Hall School has again achieved an outstanding academic feat, having participated in the Cambridge Assessment International Education offered by the British Council in June 2021 and came out victorious.
Their students, Ifeoluwapo Kolade and Vera Ugwoha who came out Top in Nigeria in Economics and Mathematics (without coursework) respectively alongside Victory Ugwoha, who clinched the Top in the world in Food and Nutrition Award were awarded at the just concluded British Council Recognition and Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards, held at Civic Centre in Lagos.
Atlantic Hall School was also awarded for winning the British Council Partner School ‘Your World’ Video Competition for 2021/2022. The Competition focused on Environment with the theme, ‘Urban living: Sustainable Cities and Communities.’
The Country Director Nigeria, British Council, Lucy Pearson, said in her address ‘the award which is billed to encourage and reward not only the best students in Nigeria but the World is a huge recognition of the talent of young people in the country.’
The Principal of the School, Dr Terry Howard said the awards indicate the hard work and dedication put in by the students and the faculty, staff and parents who supported them in their endeavours.
“Stakeholders and the public should watch out for Atlantic Hall, as there will be an increase in student learning across board; a solid educational foundation for students so that they are well prepared to matriculate from Atlantic Hall to any college/university around the world.
“There will be increased academic, athletic, and social opportunities from which the students can broaden their knowledge and skills,’’ Terry said.
