The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaita Local Government Area of Katsina State has affirmed Hon. Sirajo Audu as the party’s consensus candidate for the Katsina State House of Assembly ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The affirmation was led by the Chairman of Kaita Local Government Area and President of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) in Katsina State, Hon. Bello Yandaki, during a stakeholders’ gathering in the area.

Speaking at the event, Yandaki said the decision to adopt Sirajo Audu as the party’s candidate reflected the collective agreement and unity of APC members in Kaita.

He urged residents to continue supporting the APC, stressing that the party remained committed to improving the welfare of the people through impactful governance.

Yandaki also commended the Governor of Katsina State, Dikko Umaru Radda, for promoting consensus arrangements in selecting candidates ahead of the 2027 elections.

According to him, Kaita remains a stronghold of the APC and the party would continue to grow stronger through unity and cooperation among members.

Earlier, the APC Chairman in the area, Lawal Audu, thanked party members and supporters for embracing the consensus arrangement and maintaining unity for the progress of the party.

He highlighted some of the achievements of the state government in the area, including the ongoing Zone Dam project, which he said had reached about 75 percent completion.

Lawal assured residents that more developmental projects and democratic dividends would continue to reach the people of the area under the APC-led administration.

He further called on supporters to sustain their backing for the party to ensure victory in future elections.
