Super Eagles striker Taiwo Awoniyi, making his seventh appearance for the club, dramatically secured Forest’s second goal in the 80th minute. This strike ended a significant goal drought for the 28-year-old, whose last Premier League goal was against Wolves over 380 days prior. Awoniyi, introduced in the 68th minute, made an immediate impact, helping to dismantle Brentford’s impressive seven-match unbeaten home run.
