A former President of the (NAAPE), Issac Balami Association of Aircraft Pilots and Engineers (NAAPE), Issac Balami, on Tuesday, said he will team up with his friends to empower 160 qualified Nigerians in different aviation trainings through the Isaac Balami Foundation (IBF).

In a press statement made available to LEADERSHIP, Balami said that he will train 160 youths from the six geo-political zones of the country to mark his 40th birthday anniversary.

According to him, his Foundation will provide 100 per cent tuition-free scholarship with certificates to successful candidates.

He said, “40 Aircraft Manufacturer’s Course on Boeing, Airbus, Embraer, and Basic Technician course; 40 Cabin Crew; 40 Flight Dispatchers; 40 Aircraft Planners.”

According to him, qualified Nigerians from the six geopolitical zones of the country are encouraged to apply.

Meanwhile, Balami has urged the youths to shelve the planned birthday party being organised for him.

He said that with the hunger and suffering in Nigeria, it was better to plan for the future of the country’s youth in his own small way than to plan for a birthday bash.

He went further to state that he had decided to reflect deeply and then team up with those who were planning to throw him a birthday bash and that they will use the moment to advance some 40 precious lives in four different aviation fields, making the total number of beneficiaries 160 altogether.
