Niger State governor, Mohammed Umar Bago has said the security challenges confronting the state, especially banditry, would soon be over.
The governor spoke on the heels of recent attacks on Kaffin Koro in Paikoro local government area and some parts of Rafi local government area where videos showed how the bandits were molesting their victims.
The governor, who spoke at the swearing in of the secretary to the state government, the chief of staff and head of service at government house, Minna said he is a workaholic and will ensure that he works for the wellbeing of the people.
He commiserated with all the communities affected by banditry attacks assuring them that “ it will soon be a thing of the past.” He appreciated party supporters for their patience and perseverance and called for continued support.
Speaking on behalf of others, the SSG, Alhaji Abubakar Usman Gawu pledged their unalloyed loyalty and commitment to supporting the present administration in ensuring the desired objectives are met.
He appreciated the governor for finding them worthy of the appointments and assure him to work for the realisation of his vision for the state
Those sworn-in were Alhaji Abubakar Usman, as the SSG, Engr. Abubakar Yahaya Salisu, head of service, and chief of staff to the governor, Hon. Usman Abdullahi Gbatamangi.
Others are the deputy chief of staff to the governor, Alhaji Sadiq Yusuf and the deputy chief of staff to the deputy governor, Alhaji Bello Ibrahim Gwada.
