Armed bandits, on Sunday, struck at Agboro community in Patigi local government area of Kwara State, kidnapping three residents of the community.
LEADERSHIP reports that Patigi, in Kwara North, has been the hotbed for the nefarious activities of the bandits since the time the non-state actors infiltrated Kwara State.
It was gathered that the three victims were abducted at about 7am on the ill-fated day and were led away by the bandits towards Isanlu in the neighbouring Kogi State.
Though the state police command said it was not aware of the incident, a source gave the names of the victims as Abiodun Abidemi, Abiodun Olumide and Ayomide Moses.
The source said that the victims were kidnapped on their way back from where they had gone to pay a condolence visit over the demise of the father of Ayomide Moses.
He lamented that Patigi local government has, for months, remained in the clutch of the bandits.
